I'm JD, and I believe that if you want to change the world, you have to change yourself. In the study of self I've been led through what feels to me like the great arcana — the ultimate collection of knowledge. From the moment I thought I was discovering it, I wanted to share it. That's really the core of why I'm here.The more important takeaway is that the study of self is the study of everything. It is the study of the all. For me, that study began with the origins of civilization, and later with the origin of God. It was the latter that made me a student of mysticism, Eastern traditions, world religions, secret societies, the occult, the renaissance, the classics, alchemy in every age but definitely spagyria, I am missing a couple topics, just see my recommended reading list for deeper context of what is shaping my cognition — and it was that study which ultimately led me back to school to earn my bachelor's in medicinal plant chemistry, as a complement to years of autodidacticism.For the record, I did try to get into graduate school. Not very hard. School really isn't a place for smart people. I got into two programs and didn't go, for technical reasons — namely, no money.
